GUCCI – Introduce Children’s Collection | Babies + Boys + Girls
Certainly her lifestyle is not as flamboyant as her predecessor Tom Ford, but Frida Giannini, the current creative director of GUCCI, is as cogitative about the “needs and wants” of the market place, maybe even more so than Ford. Given that intuition, it is no surprise Giannini and the Italian fashion house announced its first ever children’s collection yesterday. Created to suit Toddlers, from 0 to 24 months, then onward to Boys and Girls, age 2 to 8 years old, the collection is not just a miniaturize version of the adult collection. Instead, there are several inclusion of designs exclusively made for it. What will be prominent are the GUCCI red-green tricolor band, its cross linked G monogram, and a new logo for the children’s collection – a GUCCI Teddy Bear. In Giannini’s long held tradition, GUCCI also utilized the collection’s introduction to announce a pledge of US$1 Million Dollars in support of UNICEF’s efforts worldwide. The GUCCI Children’s Collection will arrive in GUCCI boutiques worldwide during the Spring/Summer 2011 Season.
The iRetrofone Steampunk for iPhone
This is one of the first iRetrofone designs I've seen where the iPhone actually blends into the design and isn't immediately apparent or sticking out like a sore thumb. 'Fusing art with function' is the aim of artist Scott Freeland with this creation, which although it's awesome to look at will certainly require a very specific decor scheme to pull off. Each iRetrofone Steampunk is hand-sculpted, hand-cast in urethane resin and then hand-painted. They're each a fully functional iPhone dock complete with USB compatibility for syncing and charging and an enormous (but also functional) old-fashioned handset for conversing like grandma used to while reducing your radiation exposure. Get yours for $350 on Etsy.
Yves Saint Laurent Fall Winter 2010 Mens Shoes, Bags And Accessories
Leveraging on the 'Y' symbol now made synonymous with Yves Saint Laurent, Fall Winter 2010 season sees the brand introducing a new version of the iconic alphabet being incorporated into a full range of their leather goods. From single/double tour bracelets, wallets, travel pouches, belts, the new 'Y' icon has been seamlessly blend into the designs. I especially love the new version of the 'Y' symbol as a metal buckle (on belts and bracelets), which is both tasteful and clever.

Inspired by this season's Viennese theme, this two in one boot for Men. You can actually remove the top part to use as an ankle boot. The price though is a hefty $1720. I guess it's like paying for two shoes.

Mickey Mouse Fashion Trend
We all recall our friendship with that large eared character from our younger days. Because not only was he thoroughly entertaining to that tiny six year old, but he was everything that that time stood for; innocence, all round goodness and some great T.V.
Hermes Fall 2010 Paris
Véronique Nichanian is true to the restrained elegance of the Hermès man, while maintaining his youth with Luxury materials, quiet details and pops of color. A rolled up blazer sleeve reveals jaunty Hermès Orange. The bright patterned cashmere scarves with contrast fringe look fresh. The new oversized tote in canvas and leather is classic and masculine. But, it wouldn't be Hermès without the deliriously precious crocodile jackets.
Burberry Fall 2010 Cotton Shearling Aviator
When it comes to outerwear, this Fall 2010 season most definitely belongs to Burberry. The modernization of classics is what the Burberry brand is all about and Christopher Bailey has produced a collection of the finest shearlings I've ever witnessed. Iconic styles re-interpreted for the contemporary man.
Dior's Holiday 2010 Minaudiere: Carry Shadow and Gloss in Style
Dior's limited-edition makeup Minaudiere is one of the chicest ways around to tote eye shadow and lip gloss. New for Winter-Holiday 2010 and available in October, it includes three shadows, one each in charcoal, pewter, and champagne, all embossed in Dior's signature houndstooth pattern; two glosses, a clear and a burgundy, both sparkly; and a dual-tipped applicator with a sponge on one end and a brush on the other. A vintage-style kisslock clasp keeps it tightly closed in your bag.
Armani Hotel in Dubai
It's difficult to believe that a $1,000-a-night hotel designed by fashion designer Giorgio Armani in the world's tallest building could ever be considered understated. Yet in Dubai, where bars with multicolor fluorescent ceilings are considered classy, the Armani Hotel Dubai manages to fill that niche.
Opened in April 2010, the hotel is the first in a series of Armani-branded resorts and residences. It occupies the first eight stories of the 2,717-foot tall Burj Khalifa and includes 160 guest rooms and suites. For those seeking the full Dubai experience, suites on floors 38-39 offer breathtaking views of the buildings bursting forth from the desert floor; nightly rates can run as high as $2,500.

The Top Ten Collections
Hussein Chalayan, Fall 2000 Chalayan's career is long on technological feats. Behold the jacket made from Tyvek that Björk wore on the cover of her 1995 album Post, or the Spring 2007 dresses that, with an assist from the team who worked on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, morphed eras before our eyes. But the collection that cemented the Turkish Cypriot Londoner as fashion's wizard of the avant-garde was Fall 2000. He was just 29 when he created a wooden coffee table that converted into a skirt, a set of chairs that turned into suitcases, and accompanying chair covers that
