Nicholas Kirkwood x Rodarte Wrap Candle Sandal
A stickler for uniqueness and outrageousness, the Mulleavy sisters don't disappoint when it came to their collaboration with famed shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood. Case in point – the Wrap Candle Sandal ($1605). The name is playful and fun to say and the shoes exude that same good natured spirit and quirkiness.
These vibrantly hued heels will not disappoint if you're looking for a pair of showstoppers. There is so much going here - the juxtaposition of various colors, patterns and textures that initially don't appear to blend well together but somehow become a cohesive mix. And of course the pièce de résistance- the melted candle wrap heel. It puts the perfect punctuation on Rodarte and Kirkwood's "look at me!" heels.

$50 Million Warhol Stars in Christie's Contemporary Art Sale
A rare early Andy Warhol painting expected to fetch up to $50 million, the first picture by Warhol ever to be shown in a museum, headlines Christie's incredible Contemporary Art sale in New York on Nov. 10. The artist's Big Campbell's Soup Can with Can Opener (Vegetable), dated 1962 (above), is one of several multimillion-dollar Warhols on offer in the eye-popping sale. The next most expensive artwork is Roy Lichtenstein's Ohhh...Alright..., dated 1964, expected to fetch in the region of $40 million and one of a number of Lichtensteins on offer, again with several carrying multimillion-dollar estimates. Both seminal paintings "literally changed the course of art history," Christie's notes. In third place price-wise is Gerhard Richter's 1982 oil on canvas Zwei Kerzen, estimated at $12 million – $16 million, followed by Jeff Koons' steel sculpture Balloon Flower (Blue), 1995 - 2000, also estimated at $12 million – $16 million. Following that in the $9 million – $15 million range are two works by Mark Rothko, Untitled (Black on Gray) and No 18 (Brown and Black on Plum). Oligarchs and oil sheikhs, prepare your paddles.

Alexander McQueen Floral Engraved Boots
I only write about shoes when they strike me as especially unique, strange, or beautiful, and this pair of Alexander McQueen Floral Engraved Boots are definitely beautiful and unique and could even be considered a little strange. Mixing soft feminine elements with tough biker styles is an ongoing trend that McQueen does exceptionally well and in this case it comes in the form of a Byzantine-inspired gold-tone floral engraved heel combined with a black leather and buckles upper. Details include platform styling with a 6" heel, pointed toe, cut-out bridge detail, mock-croc effects on the heel and toe, a rear tab, and zip fasteners on the front and the side. Wearing these would make me feel like a modern day Cleopatra. $4,295

After conversion of derivatives, LVMH will hold a total of 17.1% of Hermès. It is not clear exactly how LVMH procured such a large stock holding in Hermès, but there is speculation that it could have been purchased directly from an Hermès family member or simply on the open market.
